Public Outreach Camp Held at MES Colony Under Mimang–Si–sJabstogs Initiative.
Leh, December 10, 2025: As part of the ongoing “Mimang–Si–sJabstogs – Administration at Your Doorstep” initiative, a public outreach camp was successfully conducted at the MES Colony Community Hall, Agling, under the supervision of Nodal Officer Dr. Tundup Namgial, Deputy Director, PGF, Upshi, Leh, with the aim of extending government services and welfare schemes directly to the public.
The programme began with a warm reception accorded by the Nambardars to the Nodal Officer, officers and officials of various line departments. The Nambardars expressed their appreciation to the district administration for organising the outreach camp in their locality for the benefit of the residents.
Officials from departments including Health, Social Welfare, Revenue, Rural Development, Power Development, Education, Finance, and Employment attended the camp and facilitated on-the-spot delivery of services, grievance redressal, and dissemination of information on government schemes and welfare programmes.
During the interaction, the Nambardars placed before the administration several pressing developmental and civic issues, including the finalisation of pending land allotment cases, construction of roadside drainage systems, installation of street lighting, completion of the Ama Tsospaa Office Building, establishment of a Medical Centre, development of a Children’s Park, opening of a Ration Store, and installation of a 240 kV transformer. They also drew attention to the absence of sewerage pipeline connections, which has resulted in insanitary living conditions. The damaged condition of internal roads at Urgyanling Gonpa Line No. 1, 2, and 3, connected to the main road and riddled with potholes, was also highlighted. Keeping in view the needs of nearly 300 households, the Nambardars stressed that sewerage pipelines, black topping of roads, and community infrastructure are the immediate requirements and sought early sanction of funds for the same.
On the occasion, Nambardar Thinles Dorjay of MES Colony expressed gratitude to the PHE Department for achieving 100 per cent coverage under the Jal Jeevan Mission and also acknowledged the efforts of the Municipal Department for its support and services in the area.
The Nodal Officer Dr. Tundup Namgial interacted with the residents, patiently heard their grievances, and assured that all genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned departments for timely redressal. He also reaffirmed that such outreach programmes play a vital role in strengthening public trust and improving governance at the grassroots level.
