Pulse Polio Immunization Programme Meeting held in Leh.
Leh, December 18, 2025: The Additional District development commissioner Leh, Sonam Nurboo (JKAS), today chaired a meeting of the District Task Force for the upcoming Pulse Polio Immunization Programme–2025 at his office chamber.
The meeting reviewed preparedness, inter-departmental coordination, and implementation strategies to ensure the successful conduct of the programme across Leh district. A brief presentation was made during the meeting, followed by detailed discussions on various operational aspects.
It was informed that polio vaccination will be administered to all children in the age group of 0–5 years. Children who may have missed earlier doses will also be covered under the programme. The immunization drive will be conducted from 21 -23 December 2025, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, in both urban and rural areas of the district. Booths will be set up at designated locations, and banners will be displayed prominently in urban areas to enhance public awareness.
The ADDC directed all concerned officers to disseminate information effectively and maintain close coordination with one another. He emphasized the importance of using multiple communication platforms, including Doordarshan, radio, and digital media, to ensure wide outreach and maximum public participation in the immunization drive.
