Rakesh Kumar (IAS) takes charge as new Deputy Commissioner/ CEO, LAHDC, Kargil.
Kargil, June 19, 2025 – In a formal ceremony, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Kargil Shrikant Balasaheb Suse handed over charge to the newly transferred Deputy Commissioner, Rakesh Kumar today in his office chamber in presence of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner and other officers.
Shrikant Suse, who served as Deputy Commissioner of Kargil for the last two years, expressed gratitude to the LAHDC Kargil as well as UT administration for their support and guidance during his tenure. Suse also hailed the instrumental support provided by the officers and staff of Kargil’s DC Office and all district officers as well as district police in execution of developmental works and timely disposal of public grievances. He also expressed his sincere gratitude to people of Kargil on the occasion.
The newly joined Deputy Commissioner, Rakesh Kumar expressed his commitment towards serving the people of Kargil with full dedication and stressed on continuing responsible and transparent administration as in the past.
Rakesh is the 2021 batch AGMUT cadre officer hailing from Rajasthan. Before joining as DC Kargil, he has worked as ADC Jammu and SDM Hiranagar in Jammu & Kashmir UT.
During the ceremony, SSP Kargil, Shri Ram R; Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Imteeaz Kacho; Additional SP, Nitin Yadav; Joint Director (Finance), Iftikhar Hussain; Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), Jahangeer Akhone; Joint Director (Planning) Abdul Hadi; Headquarter Assistant to DC, Kaneez Fatima; District Panchayat Officer, Raziya Khatoon; Executive Officer, Municipal Committee, Arifa Iqbal Lone and other District Officers and officials of DC Office were also present.
