Leh, October 31: To commemorate the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the District Administration Leh observed ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ (National Unity Day) with a solemn pledge-taking ceremony at the DC Office Complex, Leh today.
Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shri Romil Singh Donk, IAS, administered the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge to the officers and staff of the district administration. Various district officers and officials were present on the occasion.
During the ceremony, the participants solemnly resolved to dedicate themselves to preserving the unity, integrity, and security of the nation, while reaffirming their commitment to internal security and the spirit of national unification envisioned by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
In line with directives issued by the General Administration Department, UT Administration of Ladakh, similar pledge-taking ceremonies were observed across various government establishments, sub-divisions, and block headquarters throughout Leh district.
