RD&PR Director Reviews Rural Development Schemes in Zanskar.
Kargil, October 01, 2025: The Director, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (RD&PRI), UT Ladakh, recently undertook an extensive two-day tour of the Zanskar Subdivision. During this visit, he held detailed review meetings with the Block Development Officers (BDOs) and their staff from all three blocks of the Zanskar Division to assess the progress of various sectors of the Rural Development Department (RDD), particularly focusing on key schemes such as MGNREGA, Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), NRLM, Special Development Package (SDP), and the State Sector Plan (SSP).
The Director issued strict instructions to the concerned BDOs and MGNREGA staff to expedite the completion of e-KYC for all registered workers, boost mandays generation, and ensure timely payment strictly against the targets set for their respective blocks. He directed that progress on these parameters be reviewed by the BDOs on a daily basis for improved accountability and efficiency.
Additionally, the Director evaluated ongoing and completed projects under the SDP and SSP, providing firm guidance to the engineering staff to ensure effective implementation and timely completion of these projects in accordance with quality norms.
Rashtriya Ekta Divas was also celebrated at the office of BDO Zanskar, where the Director commemorated the occasion along with staff from all three blocks of Zanskar Division, reaffirming the commitment to unity and integrity inspired by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The Director was accompanied by the Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Kargil, Accounts Officer DRD Ladakh, Statistical Officer (Planning) DRD Ladakh, and other field staff from the three blocks of the Zanskar Division.
