Review Meeting on Vibrant Villages Programme-I Held at DC Office Leh.
Leh, April 27, 2026: A review meeting on the implementation of the Vibrant Villages Programme-I (VVP-I) was held today at the DC Mini Conference Hall, Leh, to assess the progress of works and sector-wise development initiatives under the programme.
The meeting was conducted through Video Conference under the chairmanship of the Joint Secretary ,Ms. Pausmi Basu , Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Department of Border Management,
During the meeting, discussions were held on the status of pending Vibrant Villages Action Plans, projects under query, convergence works and implementation of sanctioned projects. Special focus was laid on the saturation of key sectors such as electrification, health, education, piped water supply, livelihoods, community-based infrastructure, and tourism-related development works.
Chief Planning Officer, Leh, Konchok Gyaltson highlighted the smart classrooms in Vibrant Villages and stressed the need to strengthen digital learning infrastructure in border areas.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director, Health Department Leh, Dr. Skarma Dolma Chuskit, Chief Education Officer, Leh, Sheep Husbandry Officer, Leh along with officers from PWD (R&B), PHE/I&FC, and other concerned departments
