School Education Department, UT Ladakh Conducts Zonal Level Training on Holistic Progress Card in Kargil.
Kargil, April 2, 2026: The School Education Department, Union Territory of Ladakh, conducted a Zonal Level Training Programme on Holistic Progress Card (HPC) for the foundational stage (Balvatika to Grade 2) at Kargil, under the leadership and guidance of Worthy Administrative Secretary, Ms. Bhanu Prabha (IAS).
The training programme was organised in collaboration with the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Kargil and witnessed participation from teachers and officials representing various zones of Kargil district.
The initiative aims to strengthen foundational learning and reform assessment practices in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. During the programme, resource persons emphasised the importance of the Holistic Progress Card as a comprehensive evaluation tool that focuses on the overall development of children, including cognitive, social, emotional, and physical aspects.
Participants were provided with practical insights and hands-on training for effective implementation of HPC in classrooms. The sessions also facilitated meaningful discussions and exchange of experiences among educators to enhance teaching-learning outcomes at the foundational level.
The School Education Department reaffirmed its commitment towards improving the quality of education and promoting holistic development through innovative and child-centric approaches.
