Second Batch of 144 Ladakh Haj Pilgrims Arrives Safely in Srinagar, Receives Warm Welcome.
Srinagar, June 15, 2026: The second batch of Haj pilgrims from Ladakh, comprising 144 Hujjaj, arrived safely at Srinagar International Airport today. The pilgrims were warmly received by the Haj Committee, UT of Ladakh.
The reception was led by the Chairman, Haj Committee, UT Ladakh, Shri Ghulam Abbas Abidi, along with Hon’ble Members Ghulam Mohammad, Mohammad Hussain, Sheikh Liaqat, Bilal Ahmad, Smt. Asha Maloo, and Zahra Bano, who welcomed the pilgrims with traditional Khataq as a mark of respect and affection.
The Haj Committee, UT Ladakh, expressed its gratitude to Sheikh Nazir Mohammadi, Sheikh Nasir, Sheikh Habibullah, Sheikh Ibrahim, Sheikh Hussain G.M. Pore and Syed Altaf for their valuable guidance and constant support to the Hujjaj throughout the Haj rituals and during their stay in the Holy Land.
The Haj Committee appreciated the dedicated efforts of all religious scholars, guides and volunteers who remained available at every stage to assist the pilgrims and ensure the successful completion of their sacred journey.
The Committee prayed for the acceptance of the pilgrims’ Haj and for peace, prosperity and well-being for all.
