Secretary, Tourism & Culture, Ladakh Chairs Review Meeting on the Status of Arrangements for the Upcoming 27th Sindhu Darshan Yatra.

Leh, June 18: The preparations for the 27th Sindhu Darshan Yatra were reviewed today at the DC Office Conference Hall in Leh, under the chairmanship of Secretary, Tourism and Culture, UT Ladakh, Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan.
During the review meeting, the Administrative Secretary urged upon all the concerned departments to ensure the smooth conduct of the yatra by facilitating and completing all the necessary arrangements before the scheduled date. Emphasizing on the safety, security, comfort, and convenience of the yatris, he stressed on the need for efficient medical facilities, drinking water availability, police patrolling/escorting of yatris, power supply, cleanliness, backup arrangements, transportation services, and other essential amenities at the Sindhu Darshan site.
He further stressed-on on the importance of maintaining the highest standards of safety and security of the pilgrims and visitors.
DC/CEO, LAHDC, Leh; SSP, Leh; Director, Health; Director, RDD; Director, Tourism and Various other departments including Culture, Power, PHE; R&B (Construction) Division; Urban/MC, Leh and Transport etc., provided detailed updates on the respective preparations being made/underway to provide the best possible amenities & facilities and enhance the overall experience of the yatris.
The Secretary, Tourism & Culture emphasised on following-up with the directions given in the meeting held earlier under the chairmanship of the Advisor to Hon’ble LG and the follow-up order passed by the DC/CEO, LAHDC, Leh. He urged upon all concerned departments for active cooperation and coordination for success of the yatra.
