    Leh, January 28: Several delegations called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Shri Kavinder Gupta, at the LG Secretariat to discuss key development issues and seek administrative support.
    A delegation comprising the Administrative Secretary, Power Development Department, PT Rudra Goud and POWERGRID officials apprised the Lt Governor about the upcoming Bharat Electricity Summit 2026—India’s premier power sector platform under the Ministry of Power, Government of India—scheduled from March 19-22 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi. They extended a formal request for the Lt Governor to grace the opening ceremony. The delegation also updated progress on Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) and Prime Minister Development Package (PMDP) power projects aimed at complete electrification of Ladakh, while highlighting challenges related to funding and manpower shortages.
    A delegation from Bogdang village, led by Mohd Musa, urged inclusion of their village under the Actual Line of Control (ALC) category to enable local youth to access benefits and opportunities.
    Outsourced ambulance drivers engaged by the Health and Medical Education Department met the Lt Governor with a request for salary enhancement.
    The Lt Governor reaffirmed the UT Administration’s commitment to ensuring uninterrupted power supply across every corner of Ladakh, stating that no village would remain in darkness. He assured all delegations that the Administration would continue working tirelessly for public welfare, ensuring Ladakhis fully benefit from Central and UT government schemes.
