Shaheen Academy Organizes Career Counselling Program to Empower Youth of Kargil.
Kargil, June 18, 2025 – Shaheen Academy organized a comprehensive Career Counselling Program today at the Auditorium Hall, Kargil, aimed at inspiring and guiding students toward meaningful career paths. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes 9th to 12th and civil services aspirants from across the district.
Hon’ble Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, graced the event as Chief Guest. He lauded the efforts of Shaheen Academy for initiating such a thoughtful and much-needed program for the youth of Kargil.
CEC Dr. Jaffer Akhoon extended heartfelt congratulations to Fatima, the NEET Topper 2025, on behalf of the people of Kargil and presented her with a memento in recognition of her exceptional achievement.
In his address, Dr. Jaffer Akhoon shared insights from his own educational journey and underscored the importance of such counselling initiatives in helping students identify their individual strengths and career interests. He emphasized that while students from Kargil are inherently talented, they require structured guidance and mentorship to reach their full potential.
“Today’s world is full of opportunities, but the competition is equally tough. Our students must be encouraged to explore their areas of interest, work hard, and be determined to achieve their goals,” he said. He further stressed that Kargil needs more doctors, engineers, and civil servants, and programs like these are stepping stones toward that goal.
CEC Akhoon also urged graduates and postgraduates to stay focused on their studies, noting that with defined domicile rules for Ladakh now in place, recruitment for gazetted and non-gazetted posts will be advertised soon. He extended his best wishes to all aspirants preparing for competitive exams.
During the event, the CEC felicitated NEET toppers and resource persons with mementos and expressed appreciation for their contributions. He encouraged Shaheen Academy to continue its noble initiative in the future.
The session featured several expert speakers who shed light on various career options, scopes across different fields, and the importance of informed decision-making. Notable among them were Dr. Mohd Ali, Mohd Hassan (Assistant Professor, Delhi University), and Dr Mohd Ali also Fatima, NEET Topper 2025, who also shared her experience and preparation strategy.
The event was themed around “Empowering Futures, Guiding Dreams” and served as a significant step toward equipping Kargil’s youth with the knowledge and motivation to pursue successful careers.
