    Kargil, June 13, 2026: A certificate distribution programme for Self-Help Group (SHG) members who successfully completed tailoring training under the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) was organized at Gongma Minjee today.
    The programme was graced by Hon’ble Councillor Advocate Khadim Hussain as the Chief Guest. On the occasion, he distributed RSETI training certificates and tailoring machines among the trained SHG members under the CAPEX Budget and congratulated the beneficiaries on successfully completing the training.
    In his address, he emphasized the importance of skill development, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance among rural women, urging the trainees to utilize their newly acquired skills to establish sustainable livelihood opportunities and contribute to their household incomes.
    The event was attended by Mr. Sahil Grover, Director, RSETI; Mr. Rigzin, Chief Manager, SBI; Mr. Muneer Rasul Wani, District Programme Manager (DPM), LRLM; Mr. Habibullah, Block Programme Manager (BPM), LRLM; and Mr. Mohd Ali, MIS/Accountant, LRLM, along with Self-Help Group members, community representatives, and other stakeholders.
    Addressing the gathering, the speakers highlighted the transformative role of Self-Help Groups in promoting women’s economic empowerment and strengthening rural livelihoods. They encouraged the SHG members to produce quality local products, explore market opportunities, and adopt entrepreneurial approaches to enhance their incomes. The speakers also emphasized the importance of financial inclusion, skill enhancement, and enterprise development in achieving sustainable economic growth at the grassroots level.
    The officials further stated that such skill development initiatives are instrumental in creating sustainable livelihood opportunities and realizing the vision of “Lakhpati Didis” by enabling rural women to become successful entrepreneurs and financially independent members of society.
    The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to RSETI, LRLM, SBI, and the local administration for providing valuable training, certification, and livelihood support. They pledged to make effective use of the tailoring machines and skills acquired during the training to improve their household incomes, support their families, and contribute to the local economy.
    The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and a renewed commitment from all stakeholders towards promoting self-employment, women empowerment, and sustainable rural development in the region. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of Self-Help Group members, reflecting their growing interest in skill development, entrepreneurship, and income-generating activities.
