The District Programme Officer, ICDS, Leh, Shri A.G.Zargar, JKAS, chaired a meeting on 04.02.2026 in the Conference Hall, ACD Office, Leh, to review the preparation of the Annual Programme Implementation Plan (APIP), Convergence Action Plan, expansion of Anganwadi Centres (AWCs), and expenditure under all ICDS schemes.
The meeting discussed issues related to defunct Anganwadi Centres and the relocation of centres with no beneficiaries, stressing the need to justify such relocations based on population strength and beneficiary availability, filling vacancies, and identification of new beneficiaries at ICDS centres across Leh District.
The District Programme Officer informed that he would personally attend an interaction session with villagers to deliberate on new admissions, relocation of centres, defunct centres across Leh District.
A review of ongoing ICDS projects and plans was also conducted. Officers were instructed to prepare proposal-based action plans along with Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) to support the Convergence Action Plan. It was informed that a review meeting involving other concerned engineers would be convened after submission of the reports and DPRs.
The meeting was attended by the Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs), ICDS Leh, Nubra, Khaltsi, Nyoma, Kharu, and Durbuk; all Supervisors of ICDS projects of Leh District; Gulzar Hussain, Senior Assistant, DPO Office, ICDS Leh; Sonam Yangdol, Junior Assistant, DPO Office, ICDS Leh; Tashi Raftan, District Coordinator, DPO Office, ICDS Leh; and Nilza Angmo, Project Assistant, DPO Office, ICDS Leh.
