    Spirit of unity and patriotism: Har Ghar Tiranga, Meri Maati Mera Desh celebrations held in Kargil District.

    Kargil, August 14, 2023: The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ and ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign celebrations were held across Kargil District today and the spirit of unity and patriotism shone bright with overwhelming participation in the rallies and programmes held under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) ahead of Independence Day,2023.
    The Rural Development & Panchayat Raj Department (RD&PRD) celebrated the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign at Border Village Kaksar and saw an encouraging participation. Director, RD&PRD, Ladakh, Tahir Hussain Zabdavi, ACD Kargil, Ghulam Mohd, BDO Kargil, Samina Khatoon, officials, employees of RD&PRD and school children participated in the Tiranga Yatra and took the pledge during the campaign.
    LAHDC Secretariat Kargil also celebrated the Meri Mitti Mera Desh campaign under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
    Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kargil also organized a flag rally to commemorate the nation’s independence. Students and staff gathered to participate in the event to foster a sense of unity and pride. The rally held in Trespone, Kargil saw national flags waving in the air as participants marched through the streets. The event featured students carrying banners highlighting India’s rich history and sacrifices of the freedom fighters. The fervour of patriotism was palpable as patriotic songs echoed through the air.
    Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya Kargil, Gulzar Hussain emphasized the importance of such events in nurturing the younger generation’s love for their country. It was heartening to see young minds coming together to celebrate the nation’s spirit. The event concluded with participants gathering for a rendition of the national anthem, fostering a strong sense of national pride among all attendees.
    Similarly, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Block Medical Officer, Community Health Centre, Sankoo organized an event as part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign at CHC-Sankoo with patriotic fervour.
    Block Medical Officer, CHC-Sankoo, Dr. Ghulam Hussain, Medical Officer, Dr. Syed Iftikhaar Hussain and the paramedical staff of the CHC hoisted the national flag. Doctors and paramedical staff of CHC-Sankoo took the pledge on the occasion of Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign.
    Meanwhile, the Meri Maati Mera Desh and Har Ghar Tiranga campaigns were also held in various Gram Panchayats of different Blocks across the District. Events were held in Government Girls’ Middle School, Yurbaltaq; Primary School, Maita, Youljuk; Middle School, Thasgam; Panchayat Halqa, Namsuru; Panchayat Halqa Tangole, etc.
    Besides, BDOs, Block & Tehsil level Officers, NYK volunteers, VLWs, GRS, NRLM staff, students and teachers also participated enthusiastically during the events.
    Under the banner of the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign, the Shilaphalakam (memorial plaque) were installed at different Gram Panchayats, plantation and Panch Pran Pledges were taken by officers, students, local residents, etc. while holding soil (mitti) in their hands at different Gram Panchayats. The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is being observed from August 13th to 15th this year.
