    State BJP President of Ladakh UT Visits University of Ladakh.

    Today, the State BJP President of Ladakh UT, Shri Tashi Gyalson Kachu visited the University of Ladakh to extend his warm greetings to the newly appointed Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Saket Kushwaha.
    During his visit, Shri Gyalson held a detailed discussion with the Vice Chancellor on several key issues related to the development of the University. He urged the vice chancellor to expedite recruitment process for various sanctioned vacant positions at both Leh and Kargil Agricultural Campuses. Shri Gyalson also highlighted the importance of facilitating the early transfer of the four Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) — located in Leh, Nyoma, Kargil, and Zanskar — from SKUAST-Kashmir to the University of Ladakh. He stressed the urgent need to fill the vacant posts at these KVKs to enhance agricultural outreach and innovation across the region. Additionally, he called for the prompt recruitment of all vacant teaching and non-teaching positions at the University to ensure smooth functioning and academic excellence.
    In response, Prof. Kushwaha shared his vision for the University’s future and assured Shri Gyalson that all necessary steps would be initiated at the earliest to address the issues raised. He said that various actions are being taken at university level for overall development and progression in Ladakh UT. He emphasized that recruitment of non-teaching staff is in place and very soon the dates for examination will be announced. Announcement of vacant positions of in both the Agricultural Campuses are in process. Transfer of all four KVKs has been taken with ICAR and SKUAST Srinagar to speed up the process. He announced that this year University Convocation ceremony will be held in the Kargil. Mr Tashi applaud for the efforts taken by the Prof Kushwaha for advancement of academics in the University and overall development in the Ladakh UT.
    The meeting was attended by several Deans and senior officers of the University.
