STEM on Wheels: DIET Leh Inspires Young Minds at Taru Middle School Leh, Ladakh, 24th Aug,2026 — Taru Middle School witnessed an inspiring day of innovation and experiential learning as the STEM Lab Bus of DIET Leh visited the campus, bringing Science and Mathematics to life through practical demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and interactive activities. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal DIET Leh, Sh. S.D.Namgail. The STEM activities were facilitated by the dedicated Science team comprising, Ms. Tsering Yangdol (Head of Department) , Ms. Kunzes Dolma (Sr.Lecturer), Ms. Chetna Sharma ( Sr. Lecturer), Ms. Sonam Diskit (Lecturer), Rashida Parveen (Lecturer), and Sh. Jigmet Namgyal (Technical expert). Students enthusiastically participated in a wide range of experiments and innovative learning activities in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. The interactive sessions provided learners with opportunities to explore scientific concepts beyond the conventional classroom environment. The visit transformed the school campus into a vibrant learning space where students observed, experimented, questioned, and collaborated with great enthusiasm. The activities helped learners connect classroom concepts with real-life applications while promoting curiosity, creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and scientific thinking.

The Head of Taru Middle School appreciated DIET Leh’s efforts in taking mobile STEM education to schools and emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting experiential and activity-based learning among students. Learners were given opportunities to present their observations, fostering confidence in communication and scientific expression. Group activities nurtured peer-to-peer learning, teamwork, and leadership qualities among students, while teachers of Taru Middle School benefited by observing innovative teaching methodologies that can be integrated into regular classroom practices.
