SVEEP Kargil conducts awareness on poster, video making competition at GDC Drass.

Kargil, Dec 09, 2024: SVEEP Team Kargil in collaboration with GDC Drass today organized awareness program for College and Higher Secondary students regarding participation in UT level Poster & Video Making Competition on “encouraging newly eligible voters to register and participate in electoral process” organized by Office of Chief Electoral Officer UT Ladakh at GDC Drass.
At the event, Principal GDC Drass, Dr. Amjad Ali Abassi spoke on the importance of informed prospective voters and participation in a democratic set up and emphasized on the fundamental step to rightfully and vigilantly voting for the right leader for the society.
Further, Sajjad In-charge Principal HSS Drass addressed the audience by highlighting the importance of voter education, voting rights and how elections must be inclusive and fair.
He further underscored the valuable and skilful contribution of youth in bringing the right kind of changes within the community. He also encouraged the students to participate in the video and poster making competition and help obtain the objective of SVEEP.
A detailed powerpoint presentation was presented by Anwar Hussain, SVEEP Core Member, Kargil regarding ECI SVEEP and focused on Poster and Short Video Making Competition. It is to be mentioned that Short video duration should be 1-2 minutes with size not more than 100 MB and Poster should not be more than 10 MB.
The program was moderated by Bashir Hussain, Core Member SVEEP Kargil. The welcome speech was presented by Hassan, Assistant Professor Education while the vote of thanks was presented by Jaffar Ali, SVEEP Member Kargil.
The program was attended by faculty members and non-teaching staff of the College, District SVEEP Team members, students of the College and HSS Drass were present during the awareness program.
