Teachers’ Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Government Degree College Kargil.
Kargil, September 5: Government Degree College (GDC) Kargil celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm and warmth, honouring the dedication and contribution of teachers towards shaping the future of students.
The programme was anchored by Kushnoot and commenced with a welcome speech delivered by Mohd Issa, General Secretary, who extended greetings and expressed gratitude to all the teachers on the occasion.
The celebration was followed by a vibrant cultural programme presented by students, featuring melodious singing, nasheeds, naats, speeches and other performances. The students’ performances added a joyful and respectful spirit to the occasion.
Principal GDC Kargil, Dr. Amjad Ali Abassi, addressed the students and faculty on the occasion. He appreciated the efforts of the students in organising the programme and highlighted the important role of teachers in guiding, educating and inspiring students.
The celebrations continued with fun games for teachers, creating a lively and memorable atmosphere. A cake-cutting ceremony was also held, followed by the presentation of gifts to the teachers from the Student Council, NSS and NCC units as a gesture of love, respect and appreciation.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Faiza Batool, NSS student, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, faculty members, students, Student Council, NSS and NCC for their valuable contribution in making the Teachers’ Day celebration successful.
The event concluded on a joyful note, with students and teachers sharing moments of appreciation, respect and togetherness.
