Thangdumbur Constituency by-election: District Administration Kargil organizes training program for polling staff for counting.
Kargil, October 08, 2024: The District Administration of Kargil conducted a training session for polling staff in preparation for the counting of votes for by-election in the Thangdumbur Constituency of LAHDC, Kargil.
The training was held at NIC Kargil, ensuring that the staff is well-versed with the procedures and protocols required for a smooth and efficient counting process.
The training program discussed various aspects of election including operating EVMs and other electoral procedures to ensure polling staff is prepared to oversee polling stations and facilitate fair and transparent counting process on Counting Day scheduled on October 09, 2024.
The training was conducted by District Level Master Trainers (DLMT) and Assistant Level Master Trainers (ALMT), with instruction delivered by the Master Trainer.
The Master Trainers provided comprehensive training on the use of EVMs and covered other election-related procedures, including documentation requirements.
Additionally, they discussed the roles and responsibilities of the Returning Officer (RO), Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) and other polling staff, emphasizing key duties and necessary precautions to ensure the smooth conduct of the counting process.
