The Chairman/CEC Tashi Gyalson in presence of MP Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal visited and there they along with H.E Tsamtrul Rinpoche also inaugurated New Office Building of Ladakh Maxi Cab Operator Cooperative Ltd/ Tempo Union Leh at Bombgarh today.
They were accorded with warm welcome by the members of the Ladakh Transport Co-operative Society Ltd
President Tempo Union, Thinlay Dorjey extended his gratitude to CEC Tashi Gyalson, MP Ladakh and all the officers/ officials of various departments to assess the ground situation and address their issues.
Member of Parliament, Jamyang Tsering Namgail stresses on the importance online transportation services and encouraged the locals to explore online transport marketplace. He also spoke about the role of transport in generation of economy
CEC, Tashi Gyalson also visited various sites of Ladakh Transport Co-operative Society Ltd. which includes Taxi Union opposite LDA Park, Taxi Stand Old bus stand, Shakshalieu Maneytselding, New Bus stand, Truck Terminal Agling to inspect on-ground situation and discussed all the issues with the officers/officials of concerned departments.
Representatives from the transport cooperative societies apprised the Chairman and the concerned officials of the issues faced by the local unions like development and renovation of Truck Terminal Yard (LTCS), non-functioning of bathrooms, transport yard ground is not compounded properly etc.
Responding to the issues, CEC Tashi Gyalson that he will definitely revisit all the grievances and assured his assistance in addressing all the genuine demands and development requirements of the Ladakh Transport Co-operative Society.
At Last CEC Gyalson visited to Sheynam Community Hall to attend ALTAs Programme as a part of Diamond Jubilee Celebration of Ladakh Scout.
President ALTA, Dorjee Angchuk extended his gratitude to CEC Tashi Gyalson and all the officers/ officials of various departments to assess the ground situation in this day-long tour to the sites of LTCS.
While addressing to the audience, CEC Tashi Gyalson congratulated Ladakh Scouts on their Diamond Jubilee Year and commended their bravery and sacrifice for the nation. He salutes the selfless service and sacrifices of the Scouts and added that 2023 is dedicated to Ladakh Scouts. He also thanked ALTA for organising this event.
He spoke about the on-going developmental work in UT Ladakh transport which includes beautification projects, management of traffic, developing required infrastructure etc. He stresses on the importance of executing agencies and people to jointly explore the possibilities and actual alignments of the roads so that there could be more visibility and possibilities in terms of feasibility.
