The Deputy Commissioner, Changthang, Nitish Rajora IAS, today chaired a meeting through video conference in his office chamber with representatives of BSNL, Jio, and Airtel to review the present status of telecommunication and internet connectivity across the Changthang region.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner sought detailed updates from the telecom operators regarding network coverage, service quality, connectivity issues, and ongoing infrastructure works in various parts of Changthang.
The telecom operators briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the existing connectivity status, ongoing projects, and proposed plans aimed at strengthening network infrastructure and improving mobile and internet connectivity in the region.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned operators to work in coordination and ensure timely execution of projects for better and uninterrupted connectivity, particularly in far-flung and border areas of the region.
