The District Legal Services Authority, Leh, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The event was attended by the Hon’ble Principal District & Sessions Judge, Leh, Ms. Spalzes Angmo; Smt. Phuntsog Angmo, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Leh; Sh. Nawang Nurboo, Director Prosecution Leh; Sh. Tsering Phuntsog, Deputy Director Prosecution Leh, along with the prosecution staff; Sh. Gonbo Stobgyal, President, Bar Association, Leh, along with the Executive Members of the Bar; Legal Aid Defence Counsel; Court staff; and Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs).
The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Hon’ble Principal District & Sessions Judge, Leh, Ms. Spalzes Angmo. The unfurling of the tricolour was accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem, filling the air with pride and reverence.
Principal District & Sessions Judge, Leh, addressed the gathering, reflecting on the significance of Independence Day. She also emphasised the importance of rights, duties, unity and the collective responsibilities of citizens in nation building.
