THE HIMALAYAN FILM FESTIVAL 2023 PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP

Please read the rules and regulation below before applying
1. The participant must be an Indian national, aged 18 years or above.
2. The participant must be a resident of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
3. The participant must be an amateur photographer/ person who engages in photography for non-commercial purpose.
4. The participant must have a device to take photographs (phone with camera or a digital camera, both allowed).
5. Deadline for application is 30th August 2023.
6. Up to 20 participants will be selected to be part of the workshop.
7. Participants have to make their own way to the venue. Venue details will be shared with selected candidates.
8. Photographs taken by up to 5 participants during the workshop will be displayed at the festival.
9. No fee is payable to participants.
10. Selections will be made on the basis of the merit of the application.
11. The decision taken by the jury during the Photography Workshop shall be final and binding and the participant shall have no objection to the decision taken by the jury.
12. By participating in this workshop, the Participants grant permission and irrevocable consent, out of their own free will, for the photographs taken by them to be copied, published, exhibited, displayed or distributed at The Himalayan Film Festival 2023 and thereafter for any non-commercial use by The Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh.
13. By participating in this workshop Participants agree to indemnify and keep The Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh and its representatives and implementation agencies indemnified from and against any and/or all claims, damages, actions, enquiries, demands, assertions of liability arising from
(a) death or bodily injury caused to the participants,
(b) loss or destruction of property or
(c) use of photographs, including but not limited to claims for invasion of privacy, or rights of publicity or copyright infringement that may occur or be produced in taking, processing the photograph and its publication or distribution,
and from any and all fees and expenses, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees.
