Leh, November 15,2024: The Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas in honour of 150 birth anniversary of Baghwan Birsa Munda was celebrated at Block Headquarter Skurbuchan under Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA)programme by Rural Development Department, Block Development Office, Skurbuchan. The event was a tribute to the indigenous communities and life and work of Baghwan Birsa Munda as a tribal leader. His work was highlighted during the event and shared as a cultural heritage and tradition with the audience. The Village Nodal Officer, along with other officials, village Nambarder and representatives addressed the gathering and stressed the need to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of the indigenous communities. The importance of inclusive development policies that come under Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and concern for unique needs of the tribal populations were also emphasized during the event.
