    Leh 28 ,October 2025: The National Institute of Sowa Rigpa, Leh, successfully conducted a free medical camp cum survey under the TSP Project “Tribal Health Care and Tribal Healers Capacity Building”.
    A dedicated team of experienced Sowa-Rigpa’s Doctors (traditional
    physicians) and health workers visited multiple villages, offering free consultations, herbal medicines, and awareness sessions on preventive health and lifestyle practices rooted in Sowa Rigpa.
    The medical camp covered seven villages – Hangkar, Markha, Sara, Chalak, Sku, Kaya, and Tsoksti. The most commonly observed ailments among the patients were arthritis, gout, diabetes, hypertension, headache, stomach pain, cold, cough, and nerve disorders. More than 200 individuals benefited from the camp, many of whom expressed deep appreciation for the care and knowledge shared by the team.
    The National Institute of Sowa Rigpa, under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, continues to play a vital role in integrating traditional medicine into public health and community well-being in Ladakh and beyond.
