The Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College, Nubra, organised an awareness program on AIDS under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Tsewang Motup on February 29.
The event commenced with an informative speech by Dr. Tsewang Motup, enlightening students on the transmission modes and precautionary measures necessary to combat the spread of this lethal disease.
Dr. Mohd. Murtaza from the Department of Zoology delivered an in-depth discourse on ‘What is AIDS, its causes, and strategies for prevention.’ Following this, the program featured a poster-making competition and a quiz contest.
In the poster-making competition, Najma Begum of the 6th semester secured the 1st position, Zangskit Dolma of the 2nd semester secured the 2nd position, and Amrin Kousar of the 6th semester secured the 3rd position.
