The Zonal Level Inter-School Tournament for Middle Schools of Nyoma and Durbuk Zones commenced today at Government Higher Secondary School Nyoma.

The Zonal Level Inter-School Tournament for Middle Schools of Nyoma and Durbuk Zones commenced today at Government Higher Secondary School Nyoma and will continue till June 11, 2026. The tournament has brought together young student athletes from various schools across the two zones to participate in different sporting events, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by Shri Zaheer Abbas Jafari (JKPS), SSP Changthang, who attended the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest.
The inaugural function was also attended by Shri Tsering Tashi, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO), Leh, along with officials from the Youth Services & Sports Department, school heads, teachers, and students.
The event marks the beginning of three days of competitive sporting activities aimed at identifying and nurturing young talent while fostering camaraderie among students from different schools of Nyoma and Durbuk zones.
