A three-day orientation program on the Holistic Progress Report Card (HPC), a key component of the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) training under the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), commenced today at Ladakh Public School, Leh. The program is being conducted for Head Teachers of Middle and Primary Schools, as well as FLN teachers from both Government and Private Schools across Leh District.
The Chief Guest for the inaugural session was Ms. Deldan Angmo, Chief Education Officer, Leh. In her address, she emphasized the importance of implementing HPC across all schools in the district to ensure comprehensive and meaningful student assessments aligned with NEP 2020.
The event saw the participation of approximately 130 teachers from various Government and Private Schools. Mr. Mirza Medhi, Principal, DIET Leh, welcomed the dignitaries and expert trainers. Special guests included Ms. Ranjana Sen Gupta, Secretary of Nanritam, and Ms. Srada P. Mahanatha, Joint Secretary, along with their team.
Over the course of three days, the training will focus on the implementation of the Holistic Progress Report Card, a transformative tool designed by NCERT to assess students’ academic, social-emotional, and skill-based development. This initiative is expected to facilitate the adoption of the HPC framework in all schools across Leh in the near future.
