Tiranga Yatra Held in Kargil under Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign

Kargil, August 09, 2025: As part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Languages [LAACL], Kargil organized a vibrant Tiranga Yatra here today. The Tiranga Yatra symbolized unity, patriotism, and respect for the nation’s defenders.
The Yatra was jointly flagged off by Councillor, LAHDC, Lankarchey Constituency Sh. Ghulam Haider; Councillor, Tai Suru, Sh. Abdul Hadi and Special Officer for Cultural Activities, LAACL, Kargil/Assistant Director, Tourism, Kargil Sh. Muhammad Ali Tak.
Tribal artists representing the rich cultural heritage of Balti, Purgi, and Shina Dardi communities, along with government employees of LAACL, Kargil; Tourism Department; Information Department and other departments, took part in the procession, carrying the Tricolour with pride and chanting the slogans of ‘Vande Mataram’, ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Har Ghar Tiranga, Ghar Ghar Tiranga’ through the streets of Kargil. The event showcased the harmonious blend of Kargil’s cultural diversity and patriotic spirit.
Following the yatra, the participating tribal artists, accompanied by officials of the Ladakh Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, visited the Handurman Heritage Village near the line of control.
In a heartfelt gesture, they presented national flags and traditional khataks to the brave Army jawans stationed there. This act was a mark of deep respect and recognition of the soldiers’ unwavering dedication and sacrifice in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.
The Tiranga Yatra not only strengthened the spirit of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign but also highlighted the unity and shared commitment of the people of Kargil towards the nation.
