TLSC Zanskar organizes program on Intl. Women’s Week

Kargil, March 11, 2023: As per the direction of the Ladakh Legal Services Authority, Tehsil Legal Services Committee Zanskar today organizes a program on International Women’s Week from March 04 to March 11 under the aegis of District Legal Services Authority Kargil at Dak Bangalow Hall at Padum Zanskar.

Adv. Lobzang Gaylack, Ahmad Hussain Social Worker, Staffs member of TLSA Zanskar, PLVs of TLSC Zanskar, Angwari Workers, students of different schools and college and other local women participated in the program.

Resource person Adv. Lobzang Gaylack highlighted about women’s rights, domestic violence, Women Protection Act, 125 CrPc, and also mentioned different schemes of Court regarding women like DLSA and TLSC.

Ahmad Hussain, Social Worker spoke on the occasion and stressed on social rights, women empowerment, gender equality and also advised to enjoy life with happiness.

Aziz Ahmad Khan, Sr. Assistant of Zanskar Court also spoke about gender equality and gender discrimination. He further highlighted the role of women in society.

In the end of the program, a question-answer session was conducted and the resource person replied to all the questions put forward by participants. The program concluded with vote of thanks by Aijaz Hussain Nazir of Munsiff Court Zanskar. Pamphlets highlighting rights of women were also distributed among the participants.
