Tourism Department Kargil conducts surprise inspection of tourism units.
Kargil, Sept 30, 2024: A team led by Assistant Director, Tourism, Kargil, Rehmatullah Butt, along with Assistant Tourist Officer, Ghulam Rasool Lal, Receptionist Jigmet Gyalson and Javed conducted a surprise inspection of tourism units.
During the inspection it was found that several units were not registered and renewed till date and units were informed to register or renew themselves within a week as per J&K Tourist Trade Act, 1978 or else strict measures will be taken against them as per the Act.
The Tourism Department Kargil has advised the existing stakeholders to renew their registration as soon as possible.
