    Training of Trainers for Survey on Substance Use Among Children and Youth Begins in UT Ladakh.
    Kargil, August 3, 2026: A Training of Trainers (ToT) programme for the Survey of Substance Use Among Children and Youth in the Union Territory of Ladakh commenced today under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. The programme is being organised by the Social Welfare Department in collaboration with the Education Department, Health Department, and Police Department.
    The inaugural session was addressed by Dr. Murtaza, who highlighted the importance of collective efforts in addressing substance abuse among children and youth. The programme was formally inaugurated by Agha Syed Abdullah Shah, Resource Person from DIET Kargil.
    Around 250 teachers from across Kargil district participated in the training programme. The initiative aims to equip teachers with the knowledge and skills required to support the survey, promote awareness, and contribute to the prevention of substance abuse among children and youth.
    The programme reflects the commitment of the UT Administration of Ladakh towards building a drug-free society through capacity building, awareness, and evidence-based interventions under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
