Training on Government Process Reengineering conducted in Ladakh
Leh, April, 10: A training on Government Process Reengineering was commenced for the officers of UT Ladakh in collaboration with the National Institute for Smart Governance (NISG) by the Information Technology Department, Ladakh.
The department aims to take forward the vision of the Digital India Initiative of Govt. of India and also to ensure faster, efficient and effective delivery of government services in UT Ladakh.
The training is being organised to enhance the current skill sets of the officers of UT Ladakh through the proposed training programmes conducted by NISG.
The main objective of the programme is to familiarise the participants with a range of concepts, practices and examples of how government process reengineering, optimization and application of ICT in an optimised process environment can be undertaken by government organisations.
The broad areas covered under the programme include Digital India, MMPs, IT Policy, eGovernance evolution, e-governance lifecycle, service quality, developing a vision statement and service prioritization, process maps, collecting data for process mapping, government process analysis, implementation of re-engineered processes and change management.
It will enhance operational efficiency in administration and service delivery, improve citizen focus and experience, minimise process complexity, cost and service delivery time, increase transparency levels and reduce administrative burden.
The training was attended by Administrative Secretaries, Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Head of the Departments and other senior officers of UT Ladakh.
