Training on Simulation and Gamification-Based Teaching Held at DIET Leh.
Leh, October 23, 2025: A one-day training programme for Science and Mathematics teachers of Leh district was organised today at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh.
The training focused on “Simulation and Gamification-Based Teaching” to promote experiential and interactive learning in classrooms. The session was facilitated by two distinguished experts from lIT Madras under the Vidya Shakti initiative – Mr. Nagarajan P, Project Director, Vidya Shakti, and Dr. Siva Subramanian S, Global Convenor, Vidya Shakti.
During the programme, the experts introduced participants to innovative digital teaching platforms, including the Vidya Shakti MCQ Notebook and the Vidya Shakti Yuva Platform, designed to connect mentors and mentees for collaborative learning and professional growth.
Teachers were also introduced to simulation-based learning resources from PhET, Olabs, and Wordwall, with live demonstrations on various science topics such as electric circuits (using wires, batteries, voltmeters, and bulbs) and other classroom concepts.
The training aimed to empower teachers with modern pedagogical tools and strategies to make classroom teaching more engaging, effective, and student-centered. Participants appreciated the hands-on approach and expressed enthusiasm for implementing these innovative techniques in their schools.
