    Training program for potential Lakhpati Didis of LRLM SHG members held under Lakhpati Didi Initiative

    Kargil, Feb 16, 2024: A training-cum-capacity building programme to LRLM SHG Didi’s was organized today at Gongma Minjee Panchayat Kargil block under Lakpati Didi Initiative.
    In a bid to uplift rural livelihoods and foster economic empowerment, the Lakhpati Didi Initiative, under the aegis of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana, National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM), has taken strides in Ladakh.
    Under the Lakhpati Didi Initiative, potential SHG Didis in the Ladakh Rural Livelihood Mission Kargil are undergoing specialized training sessions conducted by seasoned experts. These sessions are meticulously crafted to equip them with essential skills, knowledge and resources to enhance their entrepreneurial ventures and income-generating activities.
    ACD (PO Wages), Ghulam Mohammad graced the occasion and inaugurated the Lakhpati Training in Kargil district which will be held throughout the financial year 2024 in different villages and Panchayats of all 15 Blocks.
    During the training program, ACD Kargil talked about various opportunities and economic activities available in Kargil for women households. He also encouraged the SHG women to take active participation in economic activities and come out from traditional mindset to become self-reliant and economically independent.
    BDO Kargil, Dr Mehdi also talked about the livelihood opportunities and schemes available with other integrated departments like Animal and Sheep Husbandry to scale up the income of women folk who are doing livelihood activities in farm and livestock development.
    District Programme Manager, LRLM, Muneer Rasul Wani welcomed the guests, trainer and trainee. He also talked about the objectives, vision and strategy to make potential Lakhpati a Lakhpati.
    The training program was attended by 32 potential Didis. DMM, BPM, CCs, CMs were also present during the training
    BPM Kargil, Sunil Kumar presented vote of thanks to the participants. The programme concluded under the able guidance of SMD and SPMs of SMMU, LRLM, UT Ladakh.
