    Training Programme on SIR Mapping for BLOs Commences in Kargil.
    Kargil, November 03, 2025: Training programme for Booth Level Officers of Tai-Suru and Drass Tehsils was successfully conducted at Conference Hall, TFC Kargil.
    The inaugural session was inaugurated by Master Trainer Mohd Amin election Assistant who emphasized the critical role of BLOs in maintaining the integrity of the electoral roll and the need for precise SIR mapping to avoid duplication or misallocation of voters.
    Officials from the Election Department, Mr Karbalai demonstrated the step-by-step process of SIR Mapping using Voter Helpline App (VHA). Practical exercises were conducted to help BLOs understand how to map electors to their correct sections and families.
    Participants were encouraged to discuss field challenges such as identifying multiple electors within one household, verifying addresses, and dealing with data inconsistencies. Solutions and best practices were also shared for the BLOs.
    The BLOs were given sample data for practice and trained on correcting anomalies using real-time . A Training programme on SIR Mapping of Electors was organized by the District Election Office, Kargil as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the electoral roll management system.
    The training aimed to enhance the technical skills and field understanding of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in relation to SIR Mapping of electors to ensure error-free and accurate electoral rolls.
    The SIR Mapping training for BLOs was a significant step toward ensuring transparent, accurate, and updated electoral rolls. The knowledge acquired will greatly assist BLOs in their field verification and data correction activities, thereby contributing to free and fair elections.
