Training Programme organised for 11th Agriculture Census at Leh.
Leh, December 12, 2024: A one-day training programme for Phase II and Phase III of the 11th Agriculture Census was held at the Conference Hall, DC Office Leh. The programme was conducted online by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Delhi through video conference and was chaired by Chief Planning Officer Tsewang Gyalson.
The primary objective of the training was to enhance the skills and knowledge of enumerators and officials in conducting accurate and efficient data collection at the district level. Key techniques in data collection methodologies, procedures, and the use of technology were imparted during the training.
During the training, the Chief Planning Officer Leh emphasized on the importance of accuracy and reliability of the data collection as it will provide a comprehensive assessment of the agriculture sector’s contribution to the economy and basis for formulation of various plans & policies . To achieve this, stressed the officials and enumerators to understand the hands-on training in detailed that includes fieldwork, data recording, and digital tool handling. And said that training programme shall benefit in streamline the census operations, enhancing overall efficiency and accuracy of data collection.
The meeting was attended by Nodal Officer Mushtaq Ahmed along with enumerators and officials from various departments. Officers/officials stationed outside joined the training programme through video conference.
