Training Session for Field Trainers of Census-2027 held in Kargil.
Kargil, May 02, 2026: A three-day Training Programme for “Field Trainers of the Kargil District” for the upcoming Census-2027 was organized by Principal Census Officer, Kargil at the NIC New Conference Hall, Baroo, Kargil. The training is organized in preparation for the upcoming Census 2027 – First Phase: Housing Listing and Housing Census (HLO).
The programme was attended by CPO Kargil Sh. Kacho Mohd Hussain, Sh. Sadique Hussain District Co-ordinator Census Kargil, 10 Field Trainers and 10 outsourced Technical Assistants engaged with Tehsil/MC-Census Charge offices across the district. Officials from the Office of the Additional District Census Officer/DSEO Kargil also participated, with Sh. Abdul Hadi, Additional District Census Officer/DSEO Kargil, joining the session virtually.
During the training, the Master Trainers Sh. Vijay Kumar AD Census operation J&K and Ladakh and Sh. Mohd Iqbal Statistical Officer PD&MD Kargil gave presentation on the methods and procedures for using the HLO Application during house listing and housing census operations to the Field Trainers whom will further impart training to the nominated Enumerators and Supervisors.
The trainers also explained the process of demarcating maps of Housing Listing Blocks (HLBs) within respective census charge zones. This training marks a significant step toward ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of Census 2027 activities in Kargil district.
