    Two-Day Training Programme on Introduction of e-Bill System under PFMS commences in Leh.
    Leh, August 17, 2026: A two-day training programme on the introduction of the e-Bill System under the Public Financial Management System (PFMS), organised by the Finance Department, UT of Ladakh, in collaboration with the Controller General of Accounts (CGA), Ministry of Finance, for Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) and dealing hands of Leh district, commenced today in Leh.
    Senior officers and officials of the Finance Department, along with Chief Controlling Drawing and Disbursing Officers (CCDDOs), DDOs and dealing assistants from various departments of Leh district, participated in the training programme.
    The programme aims to familiarise participating officials with the new digital e-Bill System and prepare them for the transition to a paperless, digitally driven claims-processing system.
    During the training, participants were apprised of the procedures for processing claims digitally through PFMS and the modalities for operating the new system. The e-Bill System is designed to minimise human intervention while strengthening real-time payment and payment-tracking mechanisms, thereby making financial transactions more efficient, transparent and accountable.
    Experts from the Controller General of Accounts (CGA) conducted detailed sessions on various modules of the e-Bill System, including the General Provident Fund (GPF) module. The participants were provided with both theoretical knowledge and live demonstrations to ensure a comprehensive and practical understanding of the new digital process.
    The training programme is part of the Finance Department’s ongoing efforts to facilitate a smooth transition to digital financial management and to strengthen efficiency, transparency, and accountability in government payment processes across the Union Territory of Ladakh.
