Various delegations call on LG Ladakh.
Leh, March 5: Various delegations called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, at the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat and apprised him of several issues concerning their respective areas.
Chief Secretary Ashish Kundra and DGP Ladakh Mukesh Singh were also present during the meeting.
A delegation from Rangdum, led by Councillor Cha Shri Stanzin Lakpa, raised issues related to strengthening the administrative set-up, infrastructure development and healthcare facilities in the area.
Another delegation from Waris village highlighted the problems caused by frequent flooding of the Siachen River and requested construction of concrete water channels. They also sought the development of a multipurpose ground and a gathering centre for youth.
The Lieutenant Governor assured the delegations that their concerns would be examined and reiterated the UT Administration’s commitment to ensuring balanced development across Ladakh, with special focus on remote areas, along with improvements in education, healthcare and tourism.
