Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp held at Spituk.
Leh, Dec 30, 2023: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp organised at halqa Panchayat Spituk of Leh Block, UT Ladakh on December 29 under the chairmanship of Councillor Phyang, Tundup Norboo, Chairperson Block Development Council, Leh Dr. Skalzang Dorjey and monks of Spituk Gonpa attended the event as special guest.
Over 140 people actively participated in the programme. Besides, many stalls were installed by different departments to provide on-spot services showcasing their flagship schemes fostering awareness and engagement.
Nambardar of Spituk village, Lobzang Tsering started the program with a welcome speech followed by screening of recorded messages by the Hon’ble President of India Droupadi Murmu and Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the IEC Van.
Presentations by various departments such as Animal Husbandry, ICDS and Rural Department regarding their main objectives and implementing procedures of their respective available schemes were presented by their concerned officers/resource person.
During the event, under ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani’, few beneficiaries namely Sonam Chuskit, Tsering Chorol, Phuntsog Dorjey under the scheme SBM (G), Pradhan Mantri Gareeb kalyan Anna Yojana, and Animal husbandry respectively shared their success stories, experience and motivated attendees to actively take benefits of these available schemes.
The event also featured a cultural performance by the villagers of Spituk village showcasing the rich heritage of Ladakh.
Workers of the Tsangda Centre (SRMC Spituk) including the Panchayat Secretary, Deachen Dolker were felicitated during the event and certificate was also distributed to the Naib Sarpanch of Spituk, Tsering Angchuk for ODF+ raising category and JJM.
In addition, a booklet regarding the TB Mukt Panchayat written in local language was presented to the Nambardar and Naib-Sarpanch of Spituk.
One of the highlights of the event was the comprehensive health screening camp of the health department and Aadhar updation service provided by Education Department and Aadhaar updation cell, where majority of attendees availed the benefit of the camp. In addition, cattle fodder was distributed to participants by the Animal Husbandry Department.
At the end, speeches were delivered by the chief guests, Tundup Norboo and Dr. Skalzang Dorjey, motivating the attendees to be aware of these available schemes and encouraged them to take full advantage of these schemes. They also gave insights to the general public regarding the progress and development that is happening in Ladakh after becoming a UT.
The event was concluded with the vote of thanks, delivered by Block Development Officer, Leh.
