The Cultural and Educational Tour to the border villages of Changthang under the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme (VBVP) concluded successfully today, marking the culmination of an enriching and transformative experience for the participating youth.
After spending several days in the border villages, interacting with local communities, learning about their culture, traditions, history, and way of life, the participants returned with valuable insights and a deeper appreciation of the unique heritage and resilience of the frontier regions.
A valedictory programme was organized to mark the successful completion of the tour. During the event, participants shared their experiences and reflections, highlighting the knowledge and perspectives they gained through direct engagement with villagers, community leaders, and traditional practitioners.
Certificates of participation were distributed to all participants in recognition of their enthusiastic involvement and successful completion of the programme.
The ceremony was attended by Ms. Tajamul Ara, State Director, MY Bharat, Union Territory of Ladakh, along with officers of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and officials of MY Bharat, who congratulated the participants and encouraged them to carry forward the values of service, leadership, and nation-building.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries emphasized the importance of connecting youth with India’s border communities and fostering a spirit of national integration, cultural understanding, and civic responsibility. They appreciated the active participation of the youth and the support extended by local communities and partner organizations in making the programme a success.
