Leh, July 13, 2025: The comprehensive week-long National Training Program for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) successfully concluded on July 12 at Conference Hall, DC Office Leh, marking a significant step towards strengthening electoral processes at the grassroots level.
During the last day of the training program, participants were distributed with certificates by Deputy District Election Officer Padma Angmo.
The program, which commenced on July 8, aimed to equip BLOs with the necessary skills and knowledge for accurate, transparent, and inclusive electoral roll management.
Throughout the training, BLOs from various tehsils/sub divisions of Leh District actively participated in interactive sessions led by State Level Master Trainer Chozin Palmo, and Resource Persons Kunzang Dolma and Kunzes Angmo.
The curriculum focused on crucial responsibilities such as house-to-house voter verification, additions and deletions in the electoral roll, correction of voter details, and facilitating new voter registrations. Emphasizing the promotion of electoral awareness, particularly among marginalized groups, was also a key component. The program maintained its guideline of training 50 participants per batch, fostering active interaction and meaningful discussions among BLOs, AEROs, and BLO Supervisors.
The initiative underscored Chief Election Office and District Election Office, Leh’s, commitment to building a robust and transparent electoral system through ongoing training and support for its field-level election functionaries. Certificates were distributed to all participants upon the conclusion of the program, acknowledging their dedication and readiness to fulfill their electoral duties efficiently and responsibly.
