Workshop on Bharatanatyam organized by Routes 2 Roots held in KV, Kargil.
Kargil, June 21, 2023: A Bharatantyam dance workshop was conducted by an artist Varun Khanna at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kargil to inculcate and enlighten students of Kargil about the basics of Bharatanatyam.
This workshop was an initiative by Routes 2 Roots that aims at reaching out to even the remotest cities to help students inculcate art and culture.
It helped to promote the art of Bharatanatyam in Kargil region and gave an opportunity to young adults to build confidence and self-esteem.
Bharatanatyam is an Indian classical dance form that originated in Tamil Nadu. It is one of eight Indian classical dance forms recognized by the Sangeet Natak Akademi, and expresses South Indian religious themes and spiritual ideas.
Routes 2 Roots is a non-profit organization that promotes peace and understanding through cultural exchange. Founded in 2004, the organization has worked with over 100 countries to bring people together through music, dance, art, and other forms of cultural expression.

With the help of teachers and principal of KV, Kargil, Gulzar Hussain, the workshop was conducted successfully.
