World Toilet Day Campaign Launched in Leh District.
Leh, November 19, 2025: World Toilet Day was formally launched today in Leh district in the presence of Sh. Abdul Gaffar Zargar, Assistant Commissioner Development, Leh, and Sh. Akeel Sajjad, District Panchayat Officer, Leh, along with officials and staff of the Rural Development Department (RDD), Leh.
The nationwide observance of World Toilet Day will run from November 19 to December 10, 2025, with this year’s campaign titled “Hamara Shauchalay, Hamara Bhavishya.”
The campaign aims to focus on: Repair and maintenance of Community Sanitary Complexes (CSCs), Painting and aesthetic improvement of Individual Household Latrines (IHHLs) and CSCs, Awareness generation among the community, especially in schools
