HUNDAR Dok, Nubra: In a testament to unwavering dedication, the teachers of P/S HUNDAR Dok school have been lauded by Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Nubra, S. Dolkar, for their exceptional commitment to providing education in a challenging, remote environment. This came after the ZEO’s recent visit to the school on October 6, 2025.
The ZEO’s journey to P/S HUNDAR Dok itself underscored the difficult conditions faced by the educators and students. Undertaking a 1.5-hour trek through steep mountain paths and crossing a river to reach the village, ZEO experienced firsthand the arduous commute. Despite the geographical hurdles, she was highly impressed to find all teachers present and diligently performing their duties upon arrival. The school, serving a small community, has a total enrollment of six students across Nursery to 3rd Class.
Particular praise was given to the well-maintained classrooms, especially the Balvatika class, which reflected the teachers efforts to create a conducive learning environment. This attention to detail in such a remote setting highlights the profound dedication of the teaching staff.
ZEO appreciated the teachers for their unwavering commitment to provide education in such a hard-to-reach school. The ZEO’s visit sheds light on the inspiring efforts being made to ensure access to education, even in the most isolated corners of the region.
