    Drass, December 08, 2025 — The Teachers Welfare Association Drass, in collaboration with the Zonal Education Office Drass, successfully organized the Zonal Level Annual Award Distribution Day 2025 today at the Dak Bungalow Drass. The event celebrated the achievements of meritorious students and emphasized the collective responsibility of the community, parents, and administration in enhancing the education system of Drass.
    The ceremony was honoured by the presence of Mr. Zakir Hussain, Hon’ble Executive Councillor, as the Chief Guest. Mr. Abdul Samad, Councillor Upper Constituency, and Mr. Abdul Wahid, Councillor Lower Constituency, attended as Guests of Honour.
    The programme commenced with a welcome Address by Mr. Nisar Ahmad, President, Teachers Welfare Association Drass. He highlighted the significance of recognizing students’ achievements and strengthening community engagement in academic progress.
    During his address, Chief Guest, EC Zakir Hussain praised the efforts of the teachers and the Zonal Education Office Drass for their dedication towards improving academic standards in the region. He stressed the need to improve the quality of education, focusing on better classroom practices, strengthening foundational learning, and promoting student-centric teaching methods.
    He assured the gathering that the Administration is fully committed to supporting the education sector in Drass. He further pledged to address the grievances of teachers on priority; work towards improving infrastructure and learning facilities in schools; ensure the availability of adequate staff and resources; and promote initiatives that uplift the overall academic environment of Drass zone.
    He reiterated that education remains a top priority and assured continuous administrative support to ensure a progressive and inclusive education system.
    The event concluded with a warm vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Ibrahim Sahib, Zonal Education Officer Drass, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, teachers, parents, and students for making the event a memorable and impactful occasion.
    The highlight of the programme was the award distribution ceremony, where meritorious students from various schools were felicitated for their outstanding academic performance. Their achievements were celebrated as a source of pride and inspiration for the entire community.
