    ADC Kargil Conducts Surprise Visits to Government Offices, Reviews E-Office Functioning Kargil, February 11, 2026: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, paid surprise visits to various Government offices in Baroo today to review the functioning and implementation of the E-Office system. He was accompanied by District Informatics Officer, Kargil, Iftikhar Hussain. The team visited the offices of Chief Project Engineer, PDC (Civil Wing), Executive Engineer, PDD; Executive Engineer, PHE; Divisional Forest Officer as well as the Election Office in DC Office Complex. During the visits, the ADC inspected the status of E-Office operations in the respective offices and interacted with officers and staff to assess the level of adoption and utilization of the digital platform. He highlighted the importance and need for regular monitoring for the convenience of employees who have been newly on-boarded on E-Office. The ADC inquired in detail about the usage of E-Office, pendency of files and communications and the challenges faced by the staff while switching from manual to digital file processing. He stressed the importance of effective implementation of E-Office to ensure transparency, efficiency, accountability and timely disposal of official matters. Emphasizing the vision of paperless governance, Imteeaz Kacho directed all concerned officers to make optimum use of the E-Office system and minimize manual paper-work. In respect of those offices which have already submitted applications for on-boarding on the portal, he directed them to follow up with the IT Department so that the on-boarding process can be completed at the earliest. The ADC said that adoption of modern technologies is essential for improving administrative efficiency and directed the heads of offices to ensure that all officials are fully trained and present on the E-Office platform. He said such initiatives will strengthen digital governance and enhance service delivery in the district. On 10.02.2026, the ADC had visited various sections of DC Office to check the efficient and proper implementation of the E-Office system. He was accompanied by District Informatics Officer, Kargil, Iftikhar Hussain and Assistant Director, Tourism, Muhammad Ali Tak. Pertinently, the Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC-Kargil has issued an order on 05.02.2026 constituting teams at the District Headquarters (headed by the Additional Deputy Commissioner) and the Sub-Divisional Headquarters (headed by the Sub-Divisional Magistrates) to ensure effective implementation and proper functioning of E-Office in various offices of the entire District. The teams have been directed to conduct frequent inspections and ensure the implementation of the mechanism in letter and spirit. With the support of the IT Department, the District Administration has been able to conduct E-Office trainings for employees at the District Headquarters as well as in the Sub-Divisions.
